ANNOUNCEMENTS

After reading a post on the facebook "McHenry Remembers" page about John Vycital, I did a search for our classmate Ron Vycital.

This is what I found with an include picture of Ron.

https://www.weremember.com/ronald-vycital/2n2s/memories

The article states that he was raised in McHenry and graduated from High School there. . . . So that's our Ron.

He was in band with me and was in our little woodwind quartet that went to State competition. We spend many hours together in preparation for that competition where we did very well.

Ron was a straight up all around good guy.
RIP Ron

Hi All,

I'd like to introduce my latest novel, Letters From The Lighthouse. Here's the story:

To escape the memories of tragic loss and disappointment, Maggie looks to begin a new life miles away in the west. When she retrieves her forwarded mail, she discovers the Post Office has made a mistake. Among the ads and bills are three letters written years ago by a lonely lighthouse keeper addressed to "his dearest one." The plaintive passion of his words ignites in Maggie a desire to reunite his descendants with these letters, but she is stymied by the fact the keeper has identified himself only with the single initial H.

Her search for the elusive keeper and his lighthouse reveals she is not the only one interested in the fellow's family tree. What has Maggie gotten herself into?

Stories passed down from generation to generation complicate her amateur investigation. She encounters friends and foes, helpmates and those who would do her harm, all the while learning a valuable lesson about what makes an unfamiliar place become a home.

Letters From The Lighthouse is available from Amazon.com in both print and electronic versions. Email me (ghstwn1@aol.com) for information on receiving a signed copy.
